So now GameStop is for peoples' not realizing that when you get a game early, most likely the servers won't be up funtil the launch date.
Apparantly what GameStop has going on is, when people bring in their copies of Killzone to replace it, the employees will tell them that they have no more new copies, and that since the game has been opened, all they can do it trade it in.
Now, being an employee of GameStop myself, I'm probably going to be called hyporcytical for saying that GameStop is a ripoff when I work from them. But c'mon, this is ridiculous. Granted these people were out of it when they just didn't wait a few more days for the actualy launch date, but the employees at the store could have told them to do that instead of taking them in the rear.
People are now at least $30 short because they either traded in the game and got their money back, or traded it in and bought another new copy. Either situation sucks, because it just shows how businees can corrupt people into being lying, or information holding profit junkies.
I'm not blaming the employees too much, because I know from experience (8 hours a week of work, woohoo....) how competative the higher-ups make everyone else. The lower sales you get, the lower reservations you get etc., the less hours you work, which leads to less money to pay bills.
I feel bad for all those people who sold their games back to GameStop, but just consider it a lesson learned. Now that's all for the rant!

sports for my local newspaper, melded my two passions into one. I got into videogame
journalism by talking the entertainment editor of my paper into letting me write a gaming
column. Things just kind of took off from there.

GameStop Sells Killzone 2 Early and Causes a Riot

After getting their copies of Killzone 2 early at their local gameStop, 26 Philadelphians were confused when the multiplayer wasn't working. I wonder why.... So now GameStop is getting blamed for peoples' not realizing that when you get a game early, most likely the servers won't be up funtil the launch date. Apparantly what GameStop has going on is, when people bring in their copies of Killzone to replace it, the employees will tell them that they have no more new copies, and that since the game has been opened, all they can do it trade it in. Now, being an employee of Gamwow goldeStop myself, I'm probably going to be called hyporcytical for saying that GameStop is a ripoff when I work from them. But c'mon, this is ridiculous. Granted these people were out of it when they just didn't wait a few more days for the actualy launch date, but the employees at the store could have told them to do thwow goldat instead of taking them in the rear. People are now at least $30 short because they either traded in the game and got their money back, or traded it in and bougwow goldht another new copy. Either situation sucks, because it just shows how businees can corrupt people into being lying, or information holding profit junkies. I'm not blaming the employees too much, because I know from experience (8 hours a week of work, woohoo....) how cowow goldmpetative the higher-ups make everyone else. The lower sales you get, the lower reservations you get etc., the less hours you work, which leads to less money to pay bills. I feel bad for all those people who sold their games back to GameStop, but just consider it a lesson learned. Now that's alwow goldl for the rant!

Since the Dark Templar model

Since the Dark Templar model was given an overhaul many months back (it was given a scythe among other things) there has been dozen of epic discussions on the battle.net boards and plenty of fan back lash. Clearly the developers are at odds among themselves over which model they prefer and thus they have turned to the fans to break this stalemate. Choose between either the model with one sci-blade that represents the Lenassa tribe, the model with a scythe that represents the Zer'atai tribe, or both. Don't think that voting for both is a cop-out, Blizzard is prepared to put both models in the game and have them randomly deploy when you train them. This would add some variety to your army but also may add some confusion for the wow goldplayer. The choice is yours. Flash Game of The Month: Tortuga

Point and click adventure titles are always a blast to play. They have been around for ages and have not changed one bit. You are given a story and an objective and in order to do complete your mission you almost always need to do something interesting. Tortuga uses this premise all the way.
At the start of the game you are on a pirate ship, held up in the brig and you need to find your way off the ship with all of your booty. You start with the chest right in your view and now you need to figure out how to get out. Puzzles and tons of trial and error gameplay are soon to follow just a few minutes after loading this title up. That is pretty much it for the story aspect and with the easy to use point and click controls, there's nothing too difficult here.
Tortuga uses a comic book style similar to Penny Arcade, which means some effort was put into this and it wasn't done overnight. It has all things you would find on a ship from a parrot to a poop deck. As for the audio presentation there isn't any music, just sound effects. But what it does have is the sense of being on a ship, complete with the sway of the ocean and the comic mischief of certain pirates.
This is part one in the series and Tortuga is off to an impressive start. Once you get about ten minutes, the game hooks you in and you won't stop playing for a good hour. Unfortunately, that's about all it takes to finish this chapter but it will certainly whet your appetite for the next installment. Check this title out, you will not regret it.
