Terry Terrones's Bio

I was born a small boy near Stratford-upon-Avon. My dad drove a lorry and me mum ran a
chippy. Okay, I might be exaggerating just a bit. I was born in England but in Warrington,
which is close to Liverpool, not Stratford (the birthplace of Billy Shakespeare). My dad
is from the U.S. and met my mom while he was in the Army. We moved all over the place and
lived in more countries and states than I can list here, but the one constant in my life
was videogames. My first console was the Atari 2600. We got it for Christmas one year and
I played it for so long that first night that I got a blister on my left palm from
gripping the joystick so hard. I never outgrew my love of gaming, as I got older I'd just
replace one system with another. As an adult I always loved writing and while covering
sports for my local newspaper, melded my two passions into one. I got into videogame
journalism by talking the entertainment editor of my paper into letting me write a gaming
column. Things just kind of took off from there.
